Exposed
Losing face…exposed!
I once again compose this weak flesh
into something impenetrable
as I construct my new disguise.
Hammering smooth the offending lines
mouth set just so-
eyes placed to hoodwink
the thickness of my skin gauged.
Confident of the mask
feeling somewhat copasetic.

I suppose we all have the ability for changing ourselves…whether they are masks or just different facets….it’s all about terminology.

What a clever poem – read several times and looked at the image..and saw the face and the hammer marks..we all lose face i suppose and adopt a mask perhaps

Ha, I love the process of composing “this weak flesh into something impenetrable”. If only, hey? Smiles. This was fun to read and imagine.
