Bambi Came To Dinner
Bambi came to dinner
ate all the fresh flowers
nibbled on the tablecloth.
Alice drank from a bottle
became too small to sit at the table
all she wanted was to fit into that dress.
Micky Mouse showed up late
kept dancing with the food
he was acting goofy.
The roast beast sidled up to me
asking what cut I wanted to eat
I told him he was too rare for me.
I never figured out who the host was
I didn’t get a bite to eat
afraid the food would bite me back.

Cool poem! I wanna be a part of the magic too.
I’ll be brave and have the food 🙂

Never thought Bambi could be so greedy. I mean, eating the table cloth too! Really! Some deer.

I just adore that Micky Mouse “was acting goofy.” 😀
And yes, dear Alice, I understand the dress predicament, too.

Oh this was a lot of fun.. the merging of stories and the nursery story style… but I agree I would be afraid to eat too.

Bekkie, this is so fun, beginning with the image. Great weaving of stories familiar to many of us.

As long as Alice can fit into that dress and Bambi can have fresh flowers…but if Micky Mouse is acting goofy…well then better not eat that meat! Love this Bekkie!!
