Daily Devotions
Sometimes unappreciated
poetry can be complicated
loyal to my inner muse
I look to write without excuse
I search for prompts so that I might
devote some time and try to write.
On the internet to play
sites with different prompts each day
not just a place to link you see
my friends are always there for me.
Poetry written line by line
something I can make all mine
need to write, what can I do?
Pen a poem and share with you.

Yes, it really does take commitment to sit down and pen poems. Not always easy, but very rewarding. And the sharing with others is so very rewarding. Glad you are here with us, Bekkie.

There is something quite marvelous to write your thoughts and someone thousands of miles away can read them and comment on them. The strangest thing is that we realize that we care for those very same people very much too.

Even with the miles between us, poetry makes them melt away.

Yes, it’s my commitment, too0, as the connections we poets make grow so strong over the years, we would feel lost without them. I enjoyed the rhyme and metre in this piece.
