The Woods
Quiet times spent in the woods
where everything is green and grand
the woods are full of things so good
I walk in wonder of this land.
The creatures here are wild and free
the birds they sing sweet songs so fair
the woods are where I long to be
as I find peace and beauty there.

Good thoughts about the birds of freedom. We have domestic ones here, in the front and back yards. Rabbits too, the have another story.

Beautiful! Emily Carr is one of my all time favourite artists. Her grave site is a short bike ride from home and is always decorated!

Wow! That is so cool! I started riding my 30 year-old Schwinn every other day on the Bay Trail which runs around the San Francisco Bay. I take photos as I ride and love it! You must be in great shape. Stop by my website about biking sometime and see some of the photos. In March I found a seal right in the middle of the trail! https://bikewithbekkie.wordpress.com/

Very cool site! I bike past deer, raccoons, hummingbirds, owls and the odd seal too! Once, viewed a whale! And I do avoid any areas that have had confirmed cougar sightings! Really! (Victoria, BC!) Hope that is not bragging! 🙂

No that is not bragging I love to hear it! That sounds too cool if anything I’m jealous. Lol! I have been watching for whales but so far no such luck. I would love to see a deer but there’s too much housing around the Bay Trail the Bay Area is very populated. There used to be coyotes but not sure about now.
