Rebirth
Surfing the breeze
on a new bloom
wings drying
in the sweet sunshine
a spent chrysalis nearby
as life emerges.
Better to be
like the butterfly
spreading your wings
to a new existence
leaving behind
the old.
Becoming more.

Great take on the theme of “bloom”, Bekkie. I like the symbolism of the butterfly and the concept of leaving an old life behind as one rebirths…

Becoming more… Yes. Lovely message. Butterflies bring out thoughts of our own metamorphosis or the possibility thereof.

Becoming more. Oh, that is brilliant, and it is the key, for sure. I love the message in this poem.

Fine photography and animation, and your poem is lovely. It sure is better to grow than the alternative–and I think you refer to both the bloom and the butterfly. Nice.
