The Dark Path

The Dark Path

The unknown
a new way beckons
just one step
phantoms cling
they follow and won’t let go
the dark path takes me.

  1. Hmmm – this makes me think of how we fight against change, against the ‘new way.’ We see it as dark and sinister because we resist it. I read this as a positive step taken in hesitation.

  2. The clinging phantoms would be my clue to turn back, but, even as i write that I hear the voice of truth saying, “No, you didn’t. You went on ahead for a long ways letting them consume you, in search of the ever elusive unknown.”
