Inner Vision
I pick my steps methodically
along an uneven cobblestone path
to find my secret sanctuary
under the wide-open sky
just my thoughts
memories
and I.

My inner visions guide me through life. No one else can hear or see them it’s a safe place to be. An animation of mine called Nature’s Heartbeat.
Written for the prompt vision with my friends at Poets United.
Think we all need that sanctuary…a little me place.

We all have it, at least on the inside…

How true these words (for me) and you are right that sometimes we tread an uneven path on this journey of life.

It seems like bit of a task to get to your sanctuary. I like that idea that it takes effort to become at ease.

What a recurring theme to return to the wild as though some primal impulse urges us back there from whence we once came. Beautiful poem Bekkie.

I think we all do, it’s just a little different for each person. Thank you, Sumana!

Thank you, Rosemary! I didn’t know you were a physic until I read it on Facebook. I do Tarot cards and love that stuff. And here I thought you were just a witch, poet, photographer, talented gardener….lol! You are so interesting.

Many thanks, but one thing I am not is a talented gardener! I have a “brown thumb”.

I photograph them (and nowadays some other people do too). I don’t grow them. 😦

I love how the heartbeat and your poem work together. With so much out there, “alone” is rare.
