the kindness of strangers
the world relies on it-
we should not retreat

I coded this artwork so it’s different than my usual work.
I wrote this for Gillena’s CKK Anniversary kukai 2017 (retreat), Poet’s United (the kindness of strangers), and shared with Imaginary Garden Of Real Toads (the Tuesday platform.)
Flying
Flying
where am I?
I am traveling by your side
the sun acting as our guide
my emotions burning bright
like a scarlet sunset might
I felt lost behind this face
’till we leaped into this space
the clouds parted ways for me
now my vision’s clear, I see.

where am I?
Together
now we fly.

Faith
It took me some time
just most of my life
I found inner faith
but only through strife.
Not faith in the church
or political convictions
not faith in fellow man
they had serious restrictions.
When nothing else worked
I found faith in myself
worked hard to achieve it
what personal wealth!
Each day I renew
attached with no strings
just faith in myself-
the peace that it brings.
