Wings And Things

Wings And Things

A butterfly on a lotus flower flaps its wings
on the other side of the world
the things it brings.

Hopefully happy
without any gloom
if it brings you to me
then good things I’ll assume.

    1. I thought so too! I’ve heard this form called Bout-Rimes (French of course) where you rhyme the first and second word at the end of each stanza or A,A, B, B. Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Right on, Bekkie. One should never assume that love and romance cannot bring gloom. After thirteen years my first marriage split. The second will celebrate 43 years this February.
Such a nice poem, if I were ‘looking’ it would copied, stuffed in a bottle, and thrown into the ocean. Who knows, it may make it around the world for me.
