Faith
It took me some time
just most of my life
I found inner faith
but only through strife.
Not faith in the church
or political convictions
not faith in fellow man
they had serious restrictions.
When nothing else worked
I found faith in myself
worked hard to achieve it
what personal wealth!
Each day I renew
attached with no strings
just faith in myself-
the peace that it brings.

What can we have faith in these days when all else fails and the world goes crazy? Ourselves, every single day.

Beautiful poem Miss Bekkie! Faith in yourself is good to have ☺♥

I think I finally have it, Phil. I think we must have faith in ourselves before we can contribute to the rest of the world.

A wise thing to do as feelings and decision-making matters are taken care of the way one wants to

Faith in oneself is the most important thing really. It is the starting point for every other kind of faith. Wise words here, Bekkie. Glad you are back at PU.

Thank you, Mary. I didn’t take a break on purpose it just sort of happened at the end of the summer. It wasn’t easy to get back on the pony…so many poems to read! But I love it, and glad I’m back too.

You are so right, and that is the path to peace, kiddo. Hey, did you know I am moving back to my beloved ocean? On Sunday! I can hardly believe it. Yippee.

Sweet and simple and yet not a faith that is available to everyone: “what personal wealth!” Very fine.
